
I spent the better part of a day in Yeso, NM, last weekend (map below). Although there seemed to be a few people living there, I think it more than qualifies as a ghost town — there were ruins everywhere. It clearly was a very prosperous railroad town at one point, with several substantial one-time buildings. Freight trains still roar through Yeso; you can see a BNSF engine speeding by in the background.
