For once, I’m more sure of the Latin name of this flower than of the common name. The Latin name is Polemonium brandegeei. I found them near the top of the Sandias (New Mexico). Their common name might be Yellow Jacob’s Ladder or it might be Yellow Sky Pilot — or perhaps neither. Regardless, I loved the way they looked with a background of orange lichen.
